Monday with Xia

I went to my mom’s best friend’s house for dinner. Her son was my ex-boyfriend. I pretended not to know him and kept my head down, scrolling through videos. The first video I opened was: “How to Get Your Ex-Boyfriend’s Attention…” I watched it eight times. Not interested. I decisively swiped away. The next one was by Doctor Xu Chao: “Can guys still get it up after drinking…?” That was when I realized there was no sound coming from my earbuds. So I cranked the volume all the way up. The next second, the man sitting at the other end of the couch yanked out an earbud with an annoyed look on his face and said to me, “I can even after drinking. Stop watching.” Me: ? “Ex-girlfriend, you’re freaking connected to my earbuds.”
